Look Forward!
In mid February, I remember receiving a phone call from Senator Ulysses Currie asking me to be on his re-election team as a candidate for the Democratic Central Committee for District 25. Humbled by the experience, I said yes, knowing that this will be a great test of dedication and passion.
Ever since that day, I have been campaigning all throughout the 25th District, from Mitchellville and Suitland/Morningside to Forestville and Clinton campaigning for Anthony Brown/Ken Ulman, Senator Currie, Delegate Davis, and our two new choices for Delegate: Angela Angel and Darryl Barnes.
While the Brown/Ulman team, Senator Currie, Delegate Davis, Ms. Angel and Mr. Barnes won their election, unfortunately, I was not successful in my election to the Democratic Central Committee. Despite this defeat, I look forward to working with the winners of the nominations for the Executive Administration, Senate, Delegate, and various other State and Local governmental positions.
If I could reach out to every single person that cast their vote for me, I would thank them individually. However, I do thank each voter and each supporter for their tireless dedication to this campaign!
I have made it clear that this is not my final election and I certainly look forward to the opportunities to come in the very near future.
Thank you very much,
- K. Alexander Wallace
