Meet K. Alexander Wallace!

Born in District Heights, Maryland, K. Alexander Wallace was raised on the morals of respect for others, dedication to a common good, and remaining steadfast and humble in times of both hardship and glory.


K. Alexander Wallace is a proud Prince George's County Public School alumnus of Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He also holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Political Science and Communications from Towson University in Towson, Maryland and a Master's of Public Administration and Policy from the University of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland.


As a student at Towson University and the University of Baltimore, he was very active on campus, in the community, and has served Prince George's County and the State of Maryland in several capacities. To read a full listing of his accomplishments, please click here.


Throughout his professional life, K. Alexander Wallace has had the privilege of working with several different non­profits, governmental agencies, community leaders, and elected officials such as The Education Trust in Washington, D.C., both the Maryland Higher Education Commission and University System of Maryland, the Maryland Youth Advisory Council, Maryland State Senator Ulysses Currie where he worked as Senator Currie’s Legislative and Constituent Aide, and Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot where he worked as a Public Affairs Officer covering Prince George's and Charles Counties.

Over the years, K. Alexander Wallace has advocated for equitable education funding for low income students and students of color, secondary and higher education financial literacy, and community partnerships and engagement in public schools.

K. Alexander Wallace lives life with his faithful wife, April, who he met while they were both students attending Towson University. April received her Bachelors of Science from Towson University in Family and Human Services with a Concentration in Services to Children and Youth and her Masters of Education in Literacy from Middle Tennessee State University. Joining her husband's passion for education, her lifelong goal is to establish community book clubs for families and children that will increase both reading levels as well as family involvement.


K. Alexander resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and, while being an active community leader and advocate, he also worships at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden and is a member of the church's Civic Engagement Ministry.
